Inspired Imagery - Split Personality
Inspired Imagery, an image that an artist produced with a splitting of a face, the artist was inspired by "Split Personality". We found this interseting as it represented the same theme of our soap and persona of our main character.
• Look at Hyder’s group’s blog & the way that they have added in posts of their edit process, together with videos of audience feedback and commented on all of these. You should be doing similar stuff by getting stills from Final Cut and discussing different aspects of your film (ie effects, timing, any issues with footage etc).
• Also, add in stills & videos from Motion, with your character stop motif. It might also be worth getting some feedback on these too. Doesn’t have to be video, but that’s up to you. (The way that Hyder has done their aud feedback video is excellent).
• Make sure that you write in one type of font and that all the writing is aligned to the left, rather than centre, as it looks better, and all the same colour!
• Must have a completed storyboard animatic – without this you can’t get above an E!
• Have a summarising paragraph for your questionnaire results, saying what you have found out and how this information will help the construction of your soap trailer.
• Must be more explicit when looking at conventions used in soap trailers, posters & magazines. Make sure you add at least a paragraph that focuses on summarising how the trailer you are analysing follows/subverts common conventions. (such as use of music, pace, single or multiple narratives, linear or non-linear structure, hyper-dramatised, surreal or self-parody in terms of style -eg Eastenders Roxy & Peggy ones). • You need to embed a link to the one of the Holyoaks trailers and add in an image for Choice magazine front cover.
• Add completed channel ident as done on the computer.
• More audience feedback needed on: rough cut, poster & magazine drafts.
• Upload your original images for the poster (not just the best one, but a selection of all of them), outlining what you were trying to achieve with the shoot etc and which ones you think you will use. Again, add in reasons why and link to your brand identity. Have a look at this blog from Long Road Media to see this done well: http://34longroadmusicvideo10.blogspot.com/
• Also add in your new music. Again with reasons why you want to use these.
• Keep adding in the ‘diary’ of events, including editing etc that you’re working on now.
• Get a move on with the film, and once finished and checked by me, upload it and get audience feedback.
• Get starting on the poster & magazine too.
(Once storyboard animatic is added) Shihab- 15- High Level 3- B Rejaul- 15- High Level 3- B Hind- 15- High Level 3- B
You are very close to a Level 4 (16- A) for this and should be well into level 4 once you’ve added in changes above.
